Apple TV is a digital media receiver devices are manufactured and sold by Apple. This device is a computer-type small form factor (SFF) which is intended to run the digital data coming from iTunes, Netflix, YouTube, Flickr, and MobileMe.

In addition, Apple TV can also run a computer with data from the operating system Mac OS X or Windows via the iTunes software. Apple TV is displayed through an enhanced-definition or high-definition wide screen television.

Apple TV allows users to use HDTV to view photos, play music and view video from the Internet Media Service or Local Network.

Apple TV can display images from Flickr and MobileMe in the form of a slide show. Photos in the slide show automatically displayed using the cross-dissolve transitions, or Ken Burns effect as an option.

Apple TV has been integrated with and can stream Netflix, since revision in September 2010.

Apple TV can display YouTube videos directly, as long as connected to the internet. To watch a video on YouTube, YouTube account is not required.

Apple TV also comes with parental controls, which lets users restrict access to certain content on the Internet media.

Apple TV can do the synchronization or display photos, music, and videos from a computer running iTunes program.
