Based on information from internal sources who declined to be named LG, this product will be LG's first model with Google TV.
Google itself is working to build coalitions to strengthen digital TV products. In order not to miss with Apple, the internet giant has also done some Google TV software update.
By including the LG, the second largest TV manufacturer in the world, Google hopes to encourage more digital TV business. As is known, Google first launched Google TV in 2010 in collaboration with Sony and Logitech devices that produce set-top box. Unfortunately, sales of these devices are not encouraging. Logitech even reportedly decided to resign. But this did not dampen the spirit of Google.
"The first version of Google TV is not perfect. But with the launch, has given us the opportunity to learn," said Mario Queiroz, Google's Vice President for Product Management.
In line with Queiroz, Vincent Dureau as Director of Engineering Google said it is now working hard to develop a Google TV is better done through the update.
Queiroz and Dureau said Google TV is the simple user interface. Home screen can be set as desired, to help users find their favorite content quickly. In the area 'all applications', users can view shortcuts as they see on Android phones and tablets.
